Early hardstyle and hardtrance at QBase 2011?

Posted in News on July 18th, 2011 by admin – Be the first to comment

As you might know, Q-dance has set up a ‘Drop Your Own Area’ contest last year to give their audience the opportunity to host a small area at Q-Base 2010.
We made it to the final stage together with 5 other contestants. Although the presentation of our concept went well, Q-dance didn’t select us as winner.

This year 2 or 3 bunkers are available for contestants so we’ve decided to join again but now in collaboration with Rebellion Events (an UK based party organisation).

We are nominated again so we need YOUR VOTE (again) to be able to present our plan at the Qdance Office.

Vote for Nominee 15 (Rebellion Events) at:
http://events.q-dance.nl/2011-09_10-september_q-base/dropyourownarea and promote it to all other early hardstyle / hardtrance / harddance fans you know :)

b2s announces new edition of ‘Remember’

Posted in News on December 28th, 2010 by admin – Be the first to comment

b2s have announced a new edition of ‘Remember’. The party will be held in Factory010 (Rotterdam) at Saturday 21 May 2011.

Many early hardstyle fans are already familiar with this concept because of the presence of ‘Remember’ areas at Decibel Outdoor. However, not many people do know that a ‘Remember’ has been organised once before. The first edition of this concept took place in 2005 and was a collaboration between b2s and Lunapark. The sound was a bit different in 2005 as the DJs played classics of many different styles like house, trance and hardhouse. The first time, the ‘Remember’ area was featured at Decibel Outdoor was in 2007. During that edition the visitors enjoyed mainly trance- and hardtrance classics. A year later, b2s changed the ‘Remember’-concept to what it’s like now: 100% hardstyle classics.

In case b2s publishes new facts regarding this event, we will let you know immediately!

The past 2 weeks, the voting-round of the Q-Dance ‘Drop Your Own Area’ took place. We were one of the 12 contesters people could vote for.
We are very happy to tell you that we have survived this round and made it to the final round of the contest :D

Next week, we (and 5 other teams) have to pitch their concept at the office of Q-Dance! Although the competition is very strong, we believe that we can beat them ;-)

Defend The Origin (Q-Base 2010 – Drop Your Own Area contest)

At the 11th of September 2010, Airport Weeze (Germany) will be transformed into one big partyarea. This year Q-Dance has decided to create a contest looking for a creative and original concept to fill one of the remaining ammo bunkers.

We also developed a concept to join the contest. The concept name is ‘Defend The Origin – Bass, Beats & Melody’ , refering to the sound hardstyle is originated from but must not be forgotten!

Q-Dance will publish a selection of the best ideas on their website upcoming thursday. If you notice our concept among the others, make sure you VOTE FOR US ;)

I added the Events section, although it still needs to get filled.

Do you organise (or know) a future party where at least 3 dj’s spin early hardstyle (produced before 2002!)?? Please let me know by contacting me so I can submit it to the list of Events
